Norton Garden Structures designs and builds hand crafted high quality bespoke garden structures. The range of commissions include Summerhouses, Gazebos, Pergolas, Decking, Bridges and latterly Garden Art structures.
Designs can either be based on previous commissions, or developed from a clients requirements. Examples can be found on the website.
The structures are built in timber from renewable sources. Timbers used are Western Red Cedar from Canada, Iroko from Africa and English and European Oak. These timbers are chosen for a combination of their appearance, natural durability and strength. Roofs can be finished in shingles, tiles. lead or copper.
Should you wish to have a structure designed and built to meet your requirements, the first step, after an initial discussion to discuss the type and style of structure, would be to develop an outline design and guide price. This would be followed by a site visit to further discuss the design so that a proposal can be developed, which will cover:
Draft Design, Specification, Outline Schedule and Price.
If this is acceptable the proposal will be refined before proceeding to the design and build of your structure. The majority of the work will be carried out off-site, and during this phase you will be welcome to visit the workshop to see the structure in the making. When nearly completed a date will be agreed with you for delivery. Installation will take on average about 1 or 2 days, dependant upon the size of the structure. When completed you will be asked to inspect the structure to ensure that it is finished to your satisfaction.
A deposit will be required when construction starts with the balance payable on completion.
The whole process from initial call to completion is normally about 6 months, although this may vary dependant upon the time of year.
